Orthodontics isn't only about making teeth look straighter. Proper alignment can improve the way your teeth and bite work together while creating a smile you can feel confident sharing.
Whether we're checking the development of your child's smile, helping your teenager begin treatment, or helping you finally address your own orthodontic concerns, we're here to provide thoughtful, individualized care.
Treatment for Kids, Teens & Adults
Orthodontic needs change throughout life. That's why every treatment begins with an individual evaluation and a plan tailored to the patient.
Kids
Early orthodontic evaluations allow us to monitor how your child's permanent teeth, jaws and bite are developing.
Some children may benefit from early treatment, while others simply need periodic monitoring until the time is right.
Teens
The teen years are a common time for comprehensive orthodontic treatment as the permanent teeth and jaws continue developing.
Braces, clear aligners and other treatment options can help address alignment and bite concerns while building confidence.
Adults
Orthodontics isn't just for children. Adults can straighten teeth, address bite concerns and improve their smiles at virtually any age.
Whether you've never had treatment or your teeth have shifted since previous orthodontics, we'd be happy to discuss your options.
You've Been Taking Care of Their Smiles. Maybe It's Your Turn.
Parents spend years making sure their children receive excellent dental care, but it's easy to put your own smile on the back burner.
That's one of the reasons we're excited to offer orthodontic treatment for adults as well as children and teens.
If you're already bringing your child to The Pediatric Dentists, you can also ask us about orthodontic treatment for yourself.
Yes, Parents Are Welcome Too!
From your child's first orthodontic evaluation to your own braces or clear aligners, we're proud to care for smiles throughout the family.
Why Have an Orthodontic Check-Up by Age 7?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children receive their first orthodontic evaluation no later than age 7.
By this age, children usually have a combination of baby teeth and permanent teeth. That gives us an opportunity to evaluate the bite, jaw growth and eruption of permanent teeth while development is still taking place.
An early evaluation does not mean your child automatically needs braces. Often, the best treatment is simply watching their development and waiting until the timing is right.
Personalized Care for Every Smile
No two orthodontic patients are exactly alike. Treatment recommendations are based on your individual teeth, bite, development, lifestyle and goals.
Early Orthodontic Evaluations
Evaluate developing teeth, jaw growth and bite relationships while your child is growing.
Braces
Modern braces provide a reliable way to address crowding, spacing, alignment and many different bite concerns.
Clear Aligners
Clear removable aligners may provide a discreet alternative to braces for appropriate teen and adult patients.
Growth & Bite Monitoring
When immediate treatment isn't necessary, periodic evaluations allow us to watch development and determine the ideal time to begin treatment.
Teen Orthodontics
Comprehensive orthodontics can help teenagers improve alignment and bite function while creating a smile they feel great about.
Adult Orthodontics
Adults can address shifting teeth, crowding, spacing, bite concerns and other orthodontic needs with modern treatment options.
Sometimes the Best Time to Help Is While They're Growing
Some orthodontic concerns are easier to evaluate or address while a child's jaws and facial structures are still developing.
Early or interceptive orthodontic treatment may be recommended when treatment during growth could improve bite development or create a healthier environment for permanent teeth.
- Crowding
- Crossbites
- Underbites
- Significant overbites
- Spacing concerns
- Teeth erupting in unusual positions
- Jaw growth discrepancies
- Oral habits affecting development
What Is Two-Phase Orthodontic Treatment?
Some children benefit from orthodontic treatment that takes place during two different stages of development.
Phase One
Early treatment takes place while a child still has a combination of baby teeth and permanent teeth. The goal may be to address specific bite, spacing or growth concerns.
Phase Two
Once most or all permanent teeth have erupted, comprehensive orthodontic treatment can focus on final alignment and bite correction.
Not every child needs two-phase treatment. Your evaluation will help determine whether treatment is necessary and when it should begin.
Braces & Clear Aligners
Modern orthodontics offers more choices than ever. We'll help determine which treatment approach is best suited to your smile and your goals.

Braces remain one of the most versatile and effective orthodontic treatments available.

Clear Aligners

- Available for many teens and adults
